TCU Defeats SMU for First Time in Eight Years

No. 1 TCU defeated No. 2 SMU 56-28 on Saturday night. The Horned Frogs earned their first win over the Mustangs since 2014.

TCU quarterback Max Duggan threw for 379 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Kendre Miller rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

SMU quarterback Tanner Mordecai threw for 336 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw three interceptions.

The Horned Frogs took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They led 28-14 at halftime and 42-21 after three quarters.

The win is a big one for TCU, which is now 3-0 this season. The Horned Frogs will face No. 17 Baylor next week.
